We, the movie lovers definitely remember this "Famous" quote from God Father.
"It's not personal. It's strictly business."
Here, I can tell you this; It's very important to remember whenever you are going to start a communication with a total stranger to buy something or do a business deal.
I wanted to add here. whenever you start a chat with a total stranger for a business deal "Do Never Consider them as Friends" "Never Ever" "Do Strictly Business".
I am now sharing my own experience and so making you a little alert.
Since second hand or used things are being sold over the internet and becoming very common now.
We can find some good stuff in cheap price also.
Month before, I posted a "Need Some {title of books} Books" ad on a online buy and selling used items website.
I received few messages, one of them agree to provide me those books if he will find. I said ok. good enough.
He started to looking for those books and then we had some chat over watsapp. we kind of become friends. Although, I did not share my personal things with him. But I started to trust him like a very gentle kind person.
When He found books, he told me the price which was around 200 dollars. I was very happy so I sent him a big amount of money $1000 with a hope that I will get rest of the remaining books as well. He delivered books to my me.
Just after delivering the books he started to think something I don't know what but he keeps on disturbing me with stupid messages.
I sent an email to him that I am busy If you fond books then let me know. then No messages received from him
After a long interval, a sudden message appear on my watsapp, he asked more money to buy books for me again $1000.
I did not even say a word but send him money.
Then without any delivery or any information that what books I have purchased.
He sent another message that he require $1500.
I said ok I will send whenever get time.
Then again he asked He needed more $2500.
I was so busy in my day to day job office work that I couldn't realized that I have sent him lot of money already. I sent him again $1000.
But when finally I was sending him money receipts. I noticed I had sent him around $3000 already.
From which only 200$ books are delivered to me.
Where is rest of money gone.
I kept on asking him to send me the receipt. He did not send any receipt rather started teasing me that I do not trust him.
Then after a lot of messages talk he send a list of books that he purchased for me. Which comes a total of 1500$ Only. Which is Only Half of the money I send him.
But still , this ba***rd teasing me with his false statements.
Then I finally sent him this quote "It's strictly business." you have to show the receipts of what I paid you.
This story is not related to the quote but I felt like, If in the start itself I would be thinking of "It's strictly business." I wouldn't have lost the money.
What you think?
